Geno Geladze

One of the founders of the Institute of Democracy and Chairman of the Board since May 5, 2004. During 1998-2003 he received Higher Legal Education, being granted with the degree of Doctor of Education in 2012. Geno Geladze managed fifteen projects supported by various international, donor organizations and Embassies (European Union, Eurasian Cooperation Foundation, Foundation Open Society Georgia, Embassy of Netherlands to Georgia, UNICEF, USAID, PRI, NORLAG, IFES). Since 2002 in parallel to Advocacy service Geno has been actively involved in Educational Activity with the status of a trainer, expert and consultant. His hobby is hunting.

Nino Kvashilava

Since 2004 she has been an irreplaceable accountant of the organization. Nino undertook qualification raising accountancy courses (Practitioner Accountants’ Association of Georgia - 2006) and (Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Georgia 2010), further continuing learning in 2011 (Federation of Professional Accountants and Auditors of Georgia). She loves reading, travelling and cooking.

Alexander Lontkipanidze

Profession – Lawyer – was born on January 19, 1981 in Batumi. He received Master’s Degree at Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University. Since 2004 he has been working at the NGO ‘Institute of Democracy’. He has undertaken various trainings on the theme of Communication and Information Publicity. He is currently occupying the Coordinator’ position in the project funded by the Eurasian Foundation. He is well aware of computer and IT technology programs. His hobby is hunting and music.

Marika Chkhubadze

Marika Chkhubadze has been working at the Institute of Democracy since 2007. She finished Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University with the specialty of Journalism. She has undertaken trainings in view of specifics for working with NGOs and organization management. She undertook Media Management School at PR School „PERITUS GROUP“. At the Institute of Democracy Marika was basically occupied with planning and arrangement of Press Conferences and organizing Meetings with Media Meetings. She is preparing Information Materials reflecting the activity of the Organization within the frame of various projects. Marika participated in up to ten projects implemented by various international organizations.

Maia Saginadze

With the specialty – Pharmacist was born on May 22, 1977. She finished Medical Ecological Institute in 2001 with the specialty of Pharmacist; since 2004 she has been working at the Institute of Democracy on various positions. She undertook trainings on the topic of Communication and Information Publicity. She is currently occupying Coordinator’s position in the project funded by the European Union. She is well aware of computer and IT programs.

Lela Bedineishvili

Lela Bedineishvili started working as a Pedagogue at the Institute of Democracy in 2009. She received Higher Education with master’s Degree during 1985-1990. From 1999-2011 she worked as the pedagogue at Batumi Public School No 13. Simultaneously, she taught at the Academic Centre “NEO”. From 2010 until December 2011 she worked as a Social Worker at the Rehabilitation Centre. From 2012 she continued working as a Social Worker at the Institute of Democracy within the frame of the project “Social Reintegration of Former Inmates and Inmates’ Family Members”, which considers employing project beneficiaries and supporting their re-qualification. Lela loves listening to classical music and reading.

Tamar Gabechava

Tamar Gabechava is one of the founders and Executive Director of Professional Educational Centre “NEO”. Since 2007 she has been working as a pedagogue and social within various projects of the Institute of Democracy supported by European Union, UNICEF, PRI and other International Donor Organizations. She was as reviewer of the Book published by the Institute of Democracy “Returning to Good – Let’s improve our sins and errors with love”. She was involved in various trainings and seminars. Her hobbies include reading and craftsmanship.

Tamar Mameishvili

Tamar Mameishvili has been working at the Institute of Democracy since 2010. She started working as an Editor of the Web-site AdjaraNews at the organization. Since 2011 she continued working on a Project Coordinator’s position. Before joining the Institute of Democracy Tamar was working at the Institute of Public Surveying and Monitoring and Media Surveys (2008-2010), earlier she was a respondent of the Newspaper “Batumelebi” (2004-2006). Tamar received a Bachelor’s Degree of Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University and Master’s Degree at Georgian Institute of Public (GIPA). She was periodically occupied with the survey of Public Opinion and Continental/Analytical Surveys of Media. She is active, regularly attending various meetings and cultural events arranged within the region.

Archil Khakhutaishvili

Archil Khakhutaishvili graduated from Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University with the specialty of Law. He has been working at the Institute of Democracy since 2006, at various times as a lawyer- expert as well as a manager of Grant Foundation. Being a lawyer with specialty, he is a member of Georgian Lawyers’ Association. In view of cooperation he is a member of Executive Board of the Association “Honored Oldness”. He delivers lectures at the faculty of Social Sciences, Business and Law of Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University. His hobby is music.

Tengo Kakhidze

Tengiz Kakhidze graduated from the faculty of Physics at Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University. He undertook trainings on various topics (Fair elections; Freedom of Information; Local Budget and Budgetary Processes; Issue Based Advocacy; Migration and Human Rights). Since 206 she has been working as a coordinator of various projects.

Temur Narsia

Graduated from the faculty of Law at Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University, with the specialty of International Law. During 2009-2011 he ran private advocacy, being a member of Georgian Lawyers’ Association. Since 2011 he has been working at the Institute of Democracy within the project :”Social and Legal Reintegration of Former Prisoners and Prisoners”. In parallel he is running advocacy service. His hobby is swimming and sports.

Ramin Gvaishvili

He started working at the Institute of Democracy in 2007. Within the frame of various projects he worked as a lawyer, simultaneously being a lawyer at Legal Company “GLC”. Ramin also has project management experience. During 2010-2011 he worked as a coordinator of the project “Popularization of Democratic values in Ajara Region”. In parallel to working at the Institute of Democracy he is providing an active Advocacy Service in view of civil, administrative and criminal advocacy cases.

Tamar Dolidze

Tamar Dolidze has been working as English Language Translator within various projects of the Institute of Democracy funded by various international donor organizations since 2005. Holding both Masters’ and PhD Degree in English Philology Tamar has been delivering Lectures at Shota Rustaveli State University since 2005. She is actively involved in professional requalification courses, attending various International Linguistic Conferences, trainings and seminars, regularly publishing Articles in local and international scientific magazines. Tamar is an author of the Monograph “Lingvo-stylistic and Pragmatic Aspects of English Newspaper Headlines and Peculiarities of their Translation into Georgian Language”. Her Hobbies include travelling and swimming.
