For farmers living in Ajara and Guria, we have started a practical course on production/sale of vegetable crops in closed ground.
Several farmers already have small greenhouses and bring their products to the market for sale. Some have a small family farm and want to turn it into a business. Some people have an idea and want to make productive use of land.
Mamuka Turmanidze, an invited trainer within the framework of the project, introduces the course participants on site, in the greenhouses:
☑ How to choose the right location for a greenhouse
☑ How to maintain the greenhouse and irrigation system correctly
☑ How to prepare the soil
☑ How to organize a nursery farm
☑ How to fight pests
The participants of the course will share their knowledge and experience on these and other practical issues for another 2 days. They will have the opportunity to cooperate in the future.
Part of the farmers attended the training online from Guria municipality.
Today, a practical course has been held in the greenhouse of the greening and landscape planning service of NNLE Batumi and in the greenhouse of farmer Gia Artmeladze.
