After Ukraine, the Georgian and Moldovan people received the EU membership questionnaire.

Institute of Democracy will step by step introduce you to the questions, the answers of which are of crucial importance for the future of Georgia.

➤ Is the right to freedom of assembly freely and without problems, for example, when organizing assemblies of sexual and religious minorities? Provide us with information on any such events that have been planned in the last 3 years.

➤ Are there crimes committed against journalists and is there an environment of impunity? Are cases of attacks and threats against journalists constantly checked? Present the statistics in this regard.

➤ Are prosecutors and judges independent, are there hierarchical influences and what are their prevention measures?

➤ How does the legislative and judicial experience treat gender-based violence and domestic violence? How many cases did the prosecutor's office investigate? How is data collected and verified?

The answers to these and other important questions determines the reality and future of Georgia. After sending the questionnaire, the European Commission prepares an evaluation report.

It should be noted that the majority of the Georgian people prefer to get closer to the West than to get closer to the occupier Russia. We are in favor of Georgia joining the European Union and NATO, and we believe that the European Union can provide significant assistance to the country and implement transformative changes.
