As it is known on January 12, 2017 landslide processes were developed in the village Lower Tkhilvana of Khulo Municipality, creating danger for more than 60 families. Immediate response and resettlements are requested by the population.
The second training on Social Media and Internet Resources was also successfully held. The students got introduced with various methods of using Internet resources for professional development.

With the purpose of forming the strategy for settling the problems of the families suffering from loss as the result of natural accidents, under organization of the Institute of Democracy and Europe Foundation, the third Public Forum was organized in Tbilisi. At the Public Forum, interested parties discussed the problems existing in view of eco-migration within the country and planning of the relevant actions in this direction.
Under the organization of the Center for Regional Initiatives, Journalists’ Training was arranged in Kutaisi. The theme was the training was related to the state of eco-migrants, being held within the frame of the project “Eco-migrants for Rights”. The training was attended by 18 journalists from various media. Upon completion of the trainings, the Journalists got introduced with the problems of the eco-migrants living in Dedlauri Community of Khoni.
On November 15-25, the Institute of Democracy will arrange Regional Meetings to improve a regional policy in eco-migration. The meetings will be held in Anaklia, Tskaltubo, Tbilisi, Rustavi, Napareuli, Borjomi and Batumi, with participation of the representatives of central and local government (62 Municipalities), civil society, media organizations and independent experts.
