Marine Khinkiladze is another winner of the startup grants competition.

Marine is a sewing specialist by profession. As she says, the pandemic period was a challenge for her. The idea to create collars was born during this time. As Marine mentions, the collar is a special accessory, it gives the outfit a finished look and helps a person to show individuality.

On the social network, she found the announcement regarding startup grants of Institute of Democracy, soon sent the business idea, went through all the stages, including an interview with the Startup Grants Council, entrepreneurial skills trainings... Finally Marine turned a business idea into the business plan, won the startup competition and obtained funding.

Currently, Marine’s collars are popular on social networks. Each accessory made with different materials and technology is unique. As she says, embroidery is a kind of therapy. With the help of embroidery, she decorates accessories with various Georgian ornaments, and this niche makes each work even more precious. The embroidery machine and other equipment needed for production were purchased with the startup grant. Marine has big plans.
